Homebound Program Page

This Home Service Program provides patrons with special needs, the homebound and the physically impaired, a personal one-on-one service to meet their informational, educational and recreational requirements.  Patrons participating in this program may check out materials from the same wide variety of books and materials made available to the general public.

In an effort to better serve the county, the Saline County Library has established an Outreach Service for the homebound of all ages.  Library materials can be delivered directly to the home or room of the patron.  This service is available to those who can't utilize traditional library services or  it would cause an undue hardship to do so.

Specific materials may be requested and/or the Homebound Coordinator will make selections from general materials based on the patrons' interests and needs.  Large print and audio material are available for the visually impaired. Click here for more information.

Meeting Room Page

The library’s meeting room is for meetings or programs of an educational, cultural or civic nature, primarily presented or co-sponsored by the Library or by not-for-profit groups or agencies. Only Library sponsored or co-sponsored meetings or programs may involve the sale of items, fund-raising activities or solicitation of donations. Events of a strictly social nature such as receptions, parties, weddings, and showers are not permitted. Click here for the full Meeting Room Policy and information.

Interlibrary Loan

There are times when the library does not have the book, magazine or movie that you are looking for. In cases like these an Interlibrary loan may be requested for $1. There is a limit of 3 items per request and each request needs to be made on a separate form. Forms must be brought into the library in person. They cannot be dropped in the drop box or mailed. Click here for a printable form.

Gateway Program Page

The Gateway Project provides public library service to Central Arkansas residents with-out charging a non-resident fee to patrons outside a library's service area.
Library patrons who are Gateway cardholders have reciprocal borrowing privileges at any of the participating libraries. They have access to a 1.5 million volume collection at no cost. For more information click here.

Donate Books

Are you interested in donating books, compact discs, or other items from your home or office to the library? If so, the Saline County Library System needs your donation for their book sales. Proceeds from the sales help sponsor Library projects and activities not covered by the Library's operating budget.
